N1

First Generation

N1

The foundation.

128 cores. One mesh.

The Catalyst N1 is a 128-core spiking neuromorphic processor with full parity to Intel's first-generation Loihi chip. Each core contains 1,024 neurons, 131K synapses, and a programmable learning engine.

Dendritic trees

Four compartments per neuron for spatial computation.

Graded spikes

Eight-bit payload per spike for analog-like signalling.

On-chip learning

Programmable plasticity rules. The chip learns as it runs.
